Making lunch the night before will save rushing around at the last minute before school. Our recipe for frittatas is simple and satisfying, ready in just 15 minutes. They’re just as tasty hot or cold and perfectly sized for kids to get their hands on.

Turning last nights leftovers into a filling lunch couldn’t be easier. Lamb and Houmous makes a great combination for tasty wraps, plus you can throw in fresh veggies like tomatoes, rocket and onion to make left overs go further.

Fingers foods like pasties are easy for little ones to enjoy. Follow our recipe with turkey mince, rice and veggies or test out your own flavour combinations.  Top tip – wrap the pasties in a little kitchen roll to prevent any soggy bottoms.

Smart snacks
Use cookie cutters to create fun shapes from fresh fruit and veggies; stars, flowers and hearts can make simple snacks like sliced cucumber and apple much more interesting.

Homemade crisp are super simple to make, just thinly slice up a mixture of root vegetables like sweet potatoes, carrots, beetroot and parsnips, drizzle them in a little oil and sprinkle with seasoning and bake at 180 degree for 7-10 minutes. If they fancy something sweet, try sliced apple baked with cinnamon.

To give them the energy to stay focused in class all day long, swap sugary snacks for slow-release energy alternatives.
