Quick & Easy Chilli Con Carne

Quick and easy spicy chilli using turkey mince for a lighter feel. The chilli also makes a great filling when paired with wraps for fajitas!

  • 1 pack of Tilda Spicy Mexican Steamed Basmati Rice
  • 1 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 tsps of chilli paste – we like chipotle chilli paste
  • 500g of lean turkey mince
  • 1 small tin of beans of your choice, drained e.g. kidney, cannellini, black eye etc
  • 1 large tin chopped tomatoes
  • Salt and pepper to season
  • 2 tbsps of water


  1. Fry onions in a little oil until soft, add the chilli paste

  2. Add the turkey mince and fry until browned all over

  3. Add the beans, tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes

  4. Add the rice to the pan and cook, covered over a low heat for a further 5 minutes

  5. Season to taste and add a little water if needed

  6. Serve with sour cream dip optional
