Experience delicious flavours from a Japanese restaurant at home! Hibachi fried rice is a cooking style in which cooked rice is heated in a pan with butter and soy sauce. We combine Limited Edition Japanese Teriyaki rice with chicken coated in soy sauce, egg and the delicious flavours of ginger and garlic for a super quick and easy dish.

Tildalicious tip: replace chicken with chopped and fried vegetables for a tasty vegetarian version.

  • 1 pouch Tilda Limited Edition Japanese Teriyaki rice
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 chicken breasts, cut into thin slices
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 3 spring onions, sliced
  • 2 eggs
  • Large knob of butter
  • Thumb of ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds

  1. Mix the sliced chicken with the soy sauce
  2. Add the oil and butter to a large pan and add the onions. Fry for 5 – 7 minutes until softened. Add the garlic and ginger and fry for 2-3 minutes
  3. Add the chicken and fry until cooked. Remove onions, garlic, ginger and chicken from the pan
  4. Beat the eggs and add to the pan to scramble
  5. Add the rice and spring onions and mix together well
  6. Add the cooked chicken and onions back into the pan and heat thoroughly until the rice is slightly crispy
  7. To serve, sprinkle over with toasted sesame seeds
