The UK’s catering royalty of South Asian Cuisine
In the rich landscape of South Asian cuisine, one name stands above all else. Madhu’s is the UK’s premier South Asian catering company, and the first choice supplier for high-profile Asian weddings and corporate events. With a reputation for luxury and quality, Madhu’s caters for around 280 events in the UK every year.
Madhu’s has had the distinguished honour of catering for royalty not once, but twice, at both Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, making them the undisputed kings of South Asian catering.
The seeds of Madhu’s success were planted in Nairobi, Kenya, where Mr. Bishan Das Anand, grandfather to Madhu’s owners Sanjay and Sanjeev Anand, made a name for himself as a successful caterer and owner of the Brilliant Hotel. Inspired by his legacy, the brothers opened a small family restaurant in 1980 and Madhu’s was born.
The name Madhu’s was inspired by their parents, Jagdish & Krishna Kumar Anand. As Head Chef, their mother Krishna, was instrumental in the success of Madhu’s Brilliant Hotel. And in 2004, the company re-branded and changed the name to Madhu’s.
In 2014, Arjun Anand embarked on a journey towards international acclaim. Beginning with the launch of a brand new Robata Grill concept at Heathrow airport. Despite the challenges of a global pandemic, Madhu’s opened a new restaurant at the Grove in December 2020, followed closely by Madhu’s of Mayfair. And in September 2022, Madhu’s took a bold step onto the international stage with its first international restaurant in Istanbul, opening an exciting new chapter in its glorious culinary history.
At the heart of Madhu’s success is its profound reverence for rice, which led to an important partnership with Tilda. A collaboration that is rooted in a love of South Asian cuisine and a mutual commitment to delivering unparalleled quality for their clientele. Both Madhu’s and Tilda are united in their mission to serve nothing but the absolute best, a testament to their unwavering pursuit of excellence.
As they look to the future, one thing remains clear: Madhu’s will continue to make every meal an occasion and every event a celebration of South Asian gastronomic heritage.
