Spicy Garlic Egg Fried Frice
Fragrant garlic, spring onions and chilli flakes bring a serious punch to this speedy dish that features our RTH Chinese Special Fried Rice. Topped with soft-boiled eggs and a splash of soy and vinegar, it’s rich, spicy and ready in minutes.

- 1 Pouch Tilda Chinese Special Fried Rice or 1 Pouch Tilda Egg Fried Rice
- 3 Tbs Olive oil or vegetable oil
- 4 Spring Onions, thinly sliced separating the white and green parts
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 2 Tbs dark soy sauce
- 1 1/2 Tbs Rice Wine Vinegar
- 2 Tsp Chilli Flakes (more if you like is spicy)
- Salt + pepper to taste
- x2 Soft Boiled Jammy Eggs (optional)
- A handful of coriander to serve
How to make Spicy Garlic Egg Fried Frice

1. Heat the oil in a wok or a non-stick pan over a medium heat.

2. Add the white part of the spring onions and gently fry until fragrant (30 seconds approx). Then add the garlic and fry until fragrant (do not let the garlic turn brown).

3. Add the rice to the pan from the packet. Cook for 5 mins or until the rice starts to brown. Mix occasionally.

4. Add the soy sauce, rice vinegar, chilli flakes and mix thoroughly.

5. Add the salt and pepper to taste and stir through the green parts of the spring onions.

6. Add more seasoning or soy sauce to taste and serve in bowls.

7. Top the fried rice with the soft boiled jammy eggs, coriander and chilli flakes.
