  • 150g Tilda Jasmine Rice
  • 150ml water
  • 200ml rice mlk
  • 1 tsp vanilla seed paste
  • 50g chopped almonds
  • 200ml double cream or whippable plant cream
  • Cherry Sauce or your favourite flavour
  • Optional: 1 whole almond to hide for the lucky winner 

How to make Risamalande 

  1. Add the rice to the pan with the water and cook for ten minutes on a low boil.

  2. Once the rice has started to expand add rice mlk and vanilla seed paste and cook on a low simmer until the rice is fully cooked and the sauce is thick and creamy. If you find the sauce is not enough you can always top up with a little more mlk.

  3. Once the rice is cooked take of the heat and set aside to cool.

  4. When you are ready to serve whip up the cream until it is just before set. You do not want it to over whip while you are folding.

  5. Gently fold the cream into the cold rice pudding.

  6. Add in the chopped almonds.

  7. Spoon in the mixture into a serving dish and top with fruit sauce of your choice.

  8. Optional- Add a whole almond into the bottom of one of the serving dishes for someone to be the lucky winner of good fortune for the year!
