Quick and Easy Chilli Con Carne

Quick and easy spicy chilli using ground turkey for a lighter feel. The chilli also makes a great filling when paired with tortillas for fajitas!

  • 1 sachet Tilda Pure Basmati Rice
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp chilli paste – we like chipotle chilli paste
  • 500g lean ground turkey
  • 1 small can beans of your choice, drained i.e. kidney, cannellini, black eye etc.
  • 1 large can chopped tomatoes
  • Salt and pepper to season
  • 2 tbsp water

How to make Quick and Easy Chilli Con Carne

  1. Fry onions in a little oil until soft, add the chilli paste

  2. Add the ground turkey and fry until browned all over

  3. Add the beans, tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes

  4. Add the rice to the pan and cook, covered, over a low heat for a further 5 minutes

  5. Season to taste and add a little water if needed

  6. Serve with sour cream dip (optional)
