Pea Rice

  • 400 g Extra Large Tilda Basmati Rice, washed
  • 300 g minced beef
  • 1 cup green peas
  • 7 spices + salt
  • 1/2 cup almonds
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Water (enough to cook the rice)

Method

  1. Heat the butter in a pan, then sauté the minced meat until it begins to brown

  2. Add the green peas, spices, and salt. Stir well to combine with the meat

  3. Mix in the washed rice and add enough water to cook. Cover and simmer on low heat until the rice is fully cooked and fluffy

  4. In a separate pan, toast the almonds in a little butter until golden

  5. Garnish the rice with toasted almonds before serving
