Cultivating Change: Tilda Wins Supply Chain Project of the Year at the UK Green Business Awards

30 June 2026

UK Green business Award 2026 – small long

Tilda wins Supply Chain Project of the Year at the UK Green Business Awards! Our pioneering project reduces emissions and boosts farmer yields in India, proving the power of sustainable collaboration.

We are incredibly proud to announce that our pioneering project, “Redefining Decarbonisation in the Global Rice Supply Chain,” has won the prestigious Supply Chain Project of the Year at the UK Green Business Awards.

This recognition celebrates our ongoing mission to protect the planet while supporting the farming communities at the heart of the Tilda family.

What the Judges Said

In a highly competitive category, the Green Business judges praised the measurable, real-world impact of Tilda’s agricultural strategies:

“Tilda edged out the competition with a sweeping strategy that is delivering verified Scope 3 emissions reductions at scale, while slashing water use, curbing fertiliser demand, and bolstering climate resilience. The roll out and monitoring of pioneering sustainable farming techniques is also boosting yields and incomes for farmers across Northern India.”

Rooted in Collaboration

Sustainability cannot be achieved in isolation. This award belongs to the thousands of independent farmers across Northern India who have trusted us and embraced innovative, lower-impact farming techniques. It also reflects the tireless dedication of our passionate teams across both the UK and India.

Together, we are proving that when sustainability is built on trust and mutual respect, we can secure both the future of our planet and the livelihoods of our farmers.

A Heartfelt Thank You

An initiative of this scale requires an extraordinary collective effort. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the key individuals and partners who made this success possible:

  • The Tilda & Ebro Project Team: Jean-Philippe Laborde, Jonathan Calland, Michel Saphy, Claire Deakin, Jeremy Roberts, Anna Beheshti, Ana Antequera Pardo, Fatima Laffitte Solis, Helen Johnston, Simon Thomason, Simon Mowbray, Nikki Thomson, Beth Derry, Graham Carter, Krishan Dhawan, Umed Singh Fartyal, Ajay Bhalothia, Aakash Bhalothia, and John Rispin.

  • Scientific & Economic Partners: Independent agricultural economist Graham Brookes, alongside Professor Uta Paszkowski and Dr Emily Servanté at the Crop Science Centre (CSC), Cambridge. Their world-class expertise ensures our sustainable practices are always grounded in rigorous, robust scientific evidence.

  • The Ebro Foods S.A. Foundation: Thank you for your unwavering foundational support, which creates the perfect environment for agricultural innovation and meaningful collaboration to thrive.

The Journey Continues

At Tilda, we believe that true sustainability is a continuous journey of learning, testing, and improving. While we are celebrating this wonderful milestone, our eyes remain firmly on the future.

We extend our congratulations to all the inspiring finalists at this year’s awards and thank BusinessGreen and the judging panel for this honour. Most of all, thank you to everyone who buys, cooks, and loves Tilda rice—your support enables us to keep innovating for a fairer, greener food system.
