The Tilda Chef Team of the Year competition is back, in association with the Craft Guild of Chefs, as part of HRC’s Salon Culinaire. This year, it’s all about the power of performance on the plate. Food as fuel. Food as medicine. Food as inspiration.

This year, we are challenging chef teams across the UK to create a two-course menu with Tilda rice as the primary ingredient. Menus must be designed specifically to fuel a sportsperson, benefiting performance and recovery, showcasing how food can be both delicious and functional.

Attending the competition?
In 2026 you will have another way to get involved with our People’s Choice competition!
During the live final, guests and attendees will have the chance to vote for their favourite team based on creativity, presentation, and innovation. You cast your vote via our Instagram channel story on the day. By casting your vote, you’ll also be entered into a special prize draw, giving you the chance to win £100.

Looking back – last year’s champions
Rajiv and Prasad joined forces from Park Dean Resorts and Park Plaza, London, creating what turned out to be a culinary dream team. Their street food inspired menu showcased creativity, innovation and superb execution.
For their savoury dish, they crafted a modern take on a classic biryani, by developing the traditional layered rice dish into crispy cutlets using Tilda’s Pure Basmati rice paired with prawns, vegetables and aromatic spices, finished with a king prawn and vegetable relish on top adding freshness and contrast to the dish.
