Quinoa is ook een uitstekende bron van eiwitten, koolhydraten en vezels.<\/p>\n<p>Door de vele gezondheidsvoordelen kan quinoa een gunstige toevoeging zijn aan allerlei di\u00ebten. Het is glutenvrij, waardoor het een uitstekende keuze is voor coeliakiepati\u00ebnten, zit boordevol essenti\u00eble aminozuren die een goede aanvulling vormen op een vegetarisch of vegan dieet, en heeft een lage glycemische index, wat het ideaal maakt voor mensen met diabetes. En als je geen speciale dieetwensen hebt, is het nog altijd een uitstekend ingredi\u00ebnt om je langer een vol gevoel te geven.<\/p>\n<p>Quinoa bereid je ongeveer op dezelfde manier als rijst. De meeste soorten quinoa spoel je eerst af om het laagje te verwijderen dat er van nature omheen zit. Dit laagje heet saponine en kan quinoa een nogal bittere smaak geven. Voor de bereiding breng je twee eenheden water op \u00e9\u00e9n eenheid quinoa aan de kook. Dek af en laat ongeveer 15 minuten pruttelen, of totdat de kiem loskomt van het zaad. De gekookte kiem moet nog een lichte &#8216;bite&#8217; hebben (al dente). Quinoa heeft na bereiding een luchtige structuur en een licht nootachtige smaak. Tijdens het koken neemt de quinoa zo&#8217;n vier keer toe in volume en wordt de kiem bijna doorzichtig.<\/p>\n<p>Omdat quinoa zo veelzijdig is en heerlijk smaakt, voeg je het heel makkelijk toe aan je dieet. Je zet het snel en eenvoudig op tafel en kunt het prima toevoegen aan rijstgerechten of koud serveren in een salade. Quinoa is ook ideaal om een glutenvrije versie van pap te maken: warm geserveerd met melk, gedroogde vruchten en wat honing. Daarnaast is het een welkome toevoeging aan een uitgebreide brunchtafel, bijvoorbeeld in dit eenvoudige maar toch verzadigende recept voor pittige tomaat met ei.<\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n
