Pancake day is one of our favourite days of the year at Tilda HQ. It’s a chance to get everyone together and impress them with your pancake toss before sitting down to share a stack. For a simple, Gluten Free recipe, try making rice flour from our Pure Basmati rice. Simply blend 1/2 cup of Tilda Pure Basmati at three second intervals until you have created a flour like consistency.
Once blended, move the rice flour to a jug then add 2 eggs, 300ml milk and a pinch of salt for a super simple pancake batter. Lightly oil a frying pan and cook for 1 minute on each side – easy peasy! Top tip: Pop them into the oven on a low heat to keep them warm while you make more.
Since everyone likes to top them differently, from classic options to all out indulgence, we recommend whipping up a batch of pancakes and filling bowls with everyones favourite finishing touches.
A squeeze of lemon and a dusting of sugar make for a popular pair. It’s a classic for a reason after all.
Need a boost? There are plenty of great ways to create a healthy, hearty pancake! Try topping your pancake with a selection of superfoods like a handful of goji berries, pomegranate seeds and coconut flakes, a sprinkle of flax and linseeds, and a drizzle of pure maple syrup or agave nectar for a little natural sweetness.
Not got a sweet-tooth? Enjoy your pancake with savoury toppings like wilted spinach, poached eggs, avocado and shavings of parmesan. Spice it up with chilli flakes or add freshly chopped chives for an extra layer of flavour.
Create a rainbow of genuine goodness with fruits like raspberries, blueberries, grapes, chopped mango and nectarine pieces. Use a few handfuls of your fruity mix and you’re well on your way to getting your 5-a-day!
