QA Night Shift

Main Responsibilities:

To assist the night shift QA’s as part of Food Safety and Quality Assurance

  • Assessment of heat process of each batch of product, inputting relevant data into spreadsheet
  • Releasing of cleared, finished product
  • Organoleptic assessments of finished product
  • Assessment of heat penetration of products with temperature data loggers
  • Checking and logging of incoming raw materials
  • Raising/investigating of non-conformances/placing non-conforming finished products and raw materials on hold and follow up
  • Liaison and communication with production personnel regarding production issues
  • Issuing of production specifications sheet (process sheet)
  • Issuing of procedures
  • Temperature checks of Ishida, freezers, chiller and all fridges and incubators
  • Packaging assessment and testing as required
  • Routine inspections, observing personal hygiene standards and assisting on internal audits
  • Other technical tasks as required by the technical manager such as maintenance of the site’s Quality Manual

Night Shift 12.15 hours – 6pm to 6.15am Sunday to Tuesday alternating every other Saturday night

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Suitable candidates will have:

  • QC/QA training
  • HACCP knowledge
  • Recognition of BRC/GFSI working standards
  • Food Hygiene trained(minimum: foundation level)
  • Internal auditing experience
  • Excel knowledge
  • Candidate to be confident, good communicator, have good investigative skills and be able to make decisions.
  • Willingness to learn and a keen eye for detail
