We set out some of the issues that made headlines in 2022 and shaped our actions in response.<\/p>\n<p>This Impact Report aims to increase the transparency of what we do \u2013 from the Himalayan foothills where our rice is grown to the communities we serve. This flooding generates high levels of greenhouse gas, methane, and uses large amounts of water and electricity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">On average this technique reduces\u00a0<strong>water and energy use by 20%\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>greenhouse gas emissions by 50% or more <\/strong>as farmers can achieve multiple drying cycles due to the favourable soil conditions so their yields remain safe.\u00a0It is a virtuous circle.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">Benefits include:<\/h3>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr role=\"row\">\n<td style=\"width:
